Family Medical Practice Columbia
Erin Jones, NP, joined Prisma Health Family Medicine to serve the skilled nursing /post acute care population in January 2022. Born and raised in Columbia, SC , she attended the University of South Carolina where she received a bachelor's degree with a major in exercise science. She then went on to get her second bachelor's degree in nursing at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia, graduating cum laude, and gained her registered nurse certification in 2012. She received her master's in nursing in 2016 from Chamberlain College of Nursing and was also inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. After gaining her master's, she became board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in January 2017. She previously spent her NP career dedicated to our nation's veterans at Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center in the primary care department and also served as a women's health provider and on the eating disorders team. Her goal is for every patient to be educated about disease prevention and all treatment options, if needed, to best fit their needs and improve their quality of life. She strives to always include the patients' families when permitted, believing it takes a community to meet all needs for the whole patient. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, exercising and watching movies.
