Elise Godly is a dedicated nursing professional currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from USC in 2018 and has since gained extensive clinical experience across various critical care settings. Elise currently works as a Critical Care Nurse Educator at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she trains and mentors approximately 100 nurses annually. She focuses on best practices within the ICU, IICU, and PCU and plays an integral role in educating new nurses on protocols, devices, and procedures. Prior to her educator role, Elise served as a Staff Nurse in the ICU at MUSC, providing critical care for patients with conditions such as septic shock, respiratory failure, and post-surgery recovery. Additionally, Elise has experience in the Cardiovascular ICU at Palmetto Health Richland, where she cared for post-op heart surgery patients and managed complex cardiovascular conditions. Beyond her clinical work, Elise demonstrates strong leadership skills. She has held roles such as Charge Nurse and has been involved in various committees, including the ICU leadership team, Code Blue Committee, and Rapid Response Team, where she contributes to policy development and continuous improvement in patient care. Elise is passionate about nursing education and patient safety, and her commitment to excellence has earned her the DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence.
