Dr. Cecelia Baskett, MD is a dedicated family medicine physician with extensive experience in both clinical practice and global health initiatives. She holds a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed her residency at Cox Medical Center and the Greenville Health System Family Medicine Residency Program. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 2015, Dr. Baskett is licensed to practice in South Carolina. Throughout her career, Dr. Baskett has worked in various settings, including Family Healthcare in Newberry, Lakeview Family Medicine Prisma Health in Lexington, and New Horizon Family Health Services in Greer. She also served as a physician at ELWA Missionary Hospital in Liberia, addressing healthcare needs in underserved communities. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Baskett is deeply committed to quality improvement and research, leading projects related to HgA1c testing, workflow processes, and blood pressure measurement. She has volunteered on medical missions in Liberia, Rwanda, South Africa, and Venezuela with organizations such as SIM International and Mercy Ships International. Dr. Baskett is also involved locally, volunteering with East Lake Community Church and participating in the church’s Medical Emergency Response Team. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, and journaling.
